Some keys on keyboard not working windows 7 games

Keyboard mysteriously seems to work when I am holding the ctrl key. For example, in Portal I can move around completely fine while crouched with CTRL. Suddenly some keys on my dell vostro 10(such as B, N, SPACE BAR, ARROWS), stopped working without any reason. Its been 1month and yet I haven't found any solution for it.I have a few keys on my Toshiba that have stopped working. Specifically, Z, ?/, and all of the arrows.
