If the doors lock with any one switch the most likely problem is a defective switch on the door that is inoperative. If all of the door lock switches are functional but one door fails to operate, the most likely problem is an open circuit in the circuit between the switch and solenoid or a defective solenoid in the affected door. If the other doors work, the problem could possibly be the door lock solenoid. If this is the case, your regular mechanic can diagnose the problem. The drivers side window/lock switch does not work.
Only on the drivers side that i can not get the locks to work, all windows, or the outside mirriors, But if i go to the other doors and try to use the locks or window controls they work fine. However, I do hear a cliking noise from the fuse box, the headlights go on/off and the horn sounds off when the buttons on key are activate but the doors will not lock/unlock. by ctebano in Schenectady, NY on January 20Follow this questionFlag inappropriateGet Your Car Fixed at a RepairPal Certified Shop.
Auto Repair : Power Door Lock Troubleshooting
I use the key fob as well as the unlock button in the car itself. At some point, it started working again, then the same problem happened with both back doors, one door again corrected itself, and now it is happening to the drivers side door. I pressed the auto-down button for the window, and opened the door. When the door got about half way open, the window stoppe all the lights went out on the door, and the instrument cluster started beeping funny.
ANYTHING! my car was made Nov 2and bought on 1/6/2006. The passengers side is next.
