I have an acer aspire 55and I want to restore it factory settings. I tried the alt+fbut it didn't work. You can perform an Acer laptop recovery without CD or DVD disks if you need to. Some models of Acer laptops and computers will allow you to run a system recovery from the recovery partition without having to use the CDs.

I somehow lost the built in recovery partition (still present but not accessible or mounted?). I then purchased a student discounted PRO upgrade and after the upgrade all acer related apps/drivers were removed during the refresh. I have experienced a common problem that Windows users have. When I upgraded to Windows - I got a 'failure to reconfigure updates' reverting back and it would go into a loop and continually do this.
For this purpose, I have a cheap Acer laptop that came with Windows . But that is just Windows. I am using a HP Laptop, Windows and a wireless mouse.
