Chevrolet Impala ProblemsStalling Due to Mass Air Flow or Crankshaft Position Sensor Failure on Chevrolet ImpalaThe mass air flow or crankshaft position sensor may fail causing the engine to intermittently stall. It may be necessary for the engine to cool down before it will restart. I believe it turned out to be the Mass Airflow Sensor or a component of the intake system. What I believe happens is that as the parts wear, they don't function up to full specs. Mass Air Flow sensor and the car was stalling all the time.Once we disconnected it, everything started to work fine again.
If you have a problem where the car dont rev over 0rpm you got problems with the MAF Sensor (Mass Air Flow )Its gone to show in the dash Power Reduced.Hope this helps!
Mass Air Flow Sensor - AutoZone
Code P01in 20Chevrolet Impala L. The car hesitates on acceleration.
LTFT) going so rich it hit the limit and threw a Check Engine Light (CEL) with a PO1code. This was the only code it would throw except sometimes (after a reset) the Catalytic converter code would also appear PO420. If these two codes go and you can't figure it out, go check that MAF sensor and check it good. Code P01in 20Chevy Sonic: How do I fix this problem?I have a 20Chevy Sonic with the check engine light on. Recently changed oil and filter. Problems with Mass Air Flow sensors are common.
Bad or contaminated Mass Air Flow sensor can possibly cause a wide range of various vehicle driveability problems such as stalling, especially when the engine is col misfiring, poor acceleration, etc.
